About Finca Madruga
|
|
Finca Madruga takes its name from "La Fuente Madruga." Many years ago this was the spring which provided the
whole neighbourhood with water. Although it dried up a long time ago, the finca still retains the name.
Finca Madruga is a semi-detached farmhouse with swimming pool, extensive terraces both in sun & shade, in a
tranquil location with sea & mountain views. It's just a short drive from Cómpeta town & the Costa.
Sleeps 4 to 6 people.
|
A tastefully reformed semi-detached cortijo; the owners, John & Linda live in one half and the other is offered for
rental. The original dwellings are very old, between 250 & 300 years and have over the past 6 years been reformed to reflect the
traditional style and rustic charm. Nestled on the edge of the Sierras Almijara & Tejeda National Parks, with views of
the mountains & down to the coast, it is an ideal location for either relaxation or exploration. Not too far to the
coast for shopping and the beaches. The 6.5 x 3.5 metre pool is located close to the house and is surrounded by tiled terraces
on three sides. There it is possible to relax in the sunshine or in shade under the rustic pergola by day, witness
stunning sunsets whilst sitting around the pool in the twilight, followed by fantastic starlit evenings. The house is
furnished in a rustic style, but with most modern conveniences.

Restoration of Finca Madruga begun in 2001 and continues today. While
there are still many projects to complete, you can see from the pictures below that it's come a long way since we first started.
